The facilities

A 20-metre covered pool with heated salt water, changing rooms with hot showers, lockers and step-free access. This is what you will find when you walk through the door.

What is inside

Pool, changing rooms and access

The route is short and simple: in through the door, past the ticket desk if you do not have a pass, down to the changing room, and a few metres later you are on the pool deck.

The pool

A 20-metre covered pool divided by lane ropes. One or two lanes stay reserved for public swimming, so you have space even when lessons are running in the rest of the pool.

The water is heated year round and treated by salt electrolysis, with far less combined chlorine than a conventional pool.

Changing rooms and showers

Separate changing rooms with lockers, hot showers and hairdryers. The water is non-slip tiled and the deck is only a few metres away — which you appreciate from November to March.

Swimming cap and flip-flops are compulsory in the pool area.

Accessibility

The facility has step-free access and accessible toilets, plus handrails at the pool edge. If you need help getting in or out of the water, call ahead on 620 21 66 46 and the team will organise it.

Training area

Next to the pool there is an area with exercise machines. Useful for warming up before getting in the water or finishing a session if you have time. Access is part of the usual running of the facility.

Frequently asked

Practical questions about the facilities

What is the water like?

Heated salt water. Disinfection happens through salt electrolysis, with far fewer chloramines than a traditional chlorine pool, which reduces eye and skin irritation and the smell in the air.

Do I need a swimming cap and flip-flops?

Yes, both are compulsory to enter the pool. No cap means no swimming, and flip-flops are needed on the deck and in the shower.

Are there lockers?

Yes, the changing rooms have lockers. Bring a small padlock if you want to lock them, or leave valuables at home.

Is there parking nearby?

The pool is in a central area with metered street parking and several public car parks within a few minutes' walk, plus a nearby city bus stop.

How many lanes are open for public swimming?

One or two, depending on the lesson schedule for that block. At peak times, ask at the desk which lane is reserved for public swimming that day.
